Software Engineers - Cambridge Location: Barrington Cambridge - UK and Wilmslow Manchester - UK Our client is seeking two highly skilled software engineers to join their main Technology Group, a highly dedicated, professional team developing software for their industry leading software products. Your main responsibilities will include · Design, development and maintenance of software for their range of products · Contribution to direction through group design discussions. · Contribution to software development process definition and improvements. · Consultation with other groups. Essential skills and experience: · B.Sc. degree in computer science, or equivalent training. · Minimum 5 years C*C++ development on one of Windows NT, Macintosh, UNIX*Linux platforms. · Knowledge of Pre-press or Electronic publishing systems. · Knowledge and experience of page description languages, such as PostScript language and PDF. · Knowledge and experience of modern software development processes and practices. · A good team player with strong analytical and problem solving abilities. · Strong communication skills.
